With a rich legacy in Tai Chi, Senior Master Rod Ferguson stands as a beacon of excellence in both traditional and applied Tai Chi and Qigong. Since 1978, Master Ferguson has been a pivotal figure in bringing the art and science of Tai Chi to Australia and beyond, touching the lives of thousands through his engaging teaching style and extensive knowledge.

A Journey of Mastery

Master Ferguson’s journey began with his profound interest in Chinese martial arts, which led him to the Australian Academy of Tai Chi & Qigong under the mentorship of Grandmaster Gary Khor. His commitment and dedication to Tai Chi were recognized in 2008 when he was awarded the prestigious title of “Master” by Grandmaster Khor, a title later elevated to “Senior Master”.

International Recognition and Achievements

An internationally acclaimed practitioner, Master Ferguson has graced various global stages, winning accolades including a Gold Medal for his Fan performance in China and bronze medals in the USA. His expertise was globally recognized at the 1st International Tai Chi Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was one of only fifteen Tai Chi teachers worldwide invited to present. He was then invited back as one of only nine to present at the 2nd International Symposium in Louisville, Kentucky.
